HOB Education Takes Turkey By Storm

Renowned for being the inspirational hub of all things hair, the HOB Academy took to Turkey last week to demonstrate all the must-have techniques and key trends for the customers of International brand, HIPERTIN.

Making his first guest appearance in Turkey was 2008, 2009 and 2011 British Hairdresser of the Year and HOB Salons’ International Creative Director Akin Konizi, who was also joined by Head of HOB Education, Claire Atkinson. The 3 day event that took place in Antalya, Turkey was the first presentation of the partnership between HIPERTIN and the well-established Turkish distributor, Arzum Kozmetik.

Within the last year, HIPERTIN adapted a colour formula that catered to the special needs of the Turkish market achieving impressive results, therefore they asked the best in British Hairdressing, Akin Konizi to present to an audience of 400 international customers with Claire Atkinson alongside.

Taking to the stage on the third day, Akin and Claire worked hard backstage to deliver a show-stopping seminar, with Akin doing four live demonstration models, whilst also showcasing their pre-prepared work with 6 on-trend presentation models. Following the day of top level hairdressing, the audience were treated exclusively to a show from the expert duo with all of their 10 models taking to the stage.

Speaking of the event, HOB Salons’ International Creative Director Akin comments ‘This was our first ever trip to Turkey and it was a great experience. It was an honour to captivate a new audience with the techniques and trends that we are working with in the HOB Academy currently. I look forward to hopefully being able to return soon!’
