HOB SALONS SCORE THE HATTRICK IN BRITISH HAIRDRESSING AWARD NOMINATIONS

As award season begins to take hold, HOB Salons are now confirmed finalists in three categories in the 2011 Hairdresser's Journal's British Hairdressing Awards, the Oscars of the hairdressing world.

As one of the most esteemed events in the industry which is set to take place in November at the grand location of the Grosvenor House Hotel, London for its 27th year, the HOB Salons team are preparing for the big night.

This year's event will see HOB Salons compete for the 2011 Artistic Team of the Year title, HOB's Creative Colour Director Christel Lundqvist will fight to hold on to her current title as she battles it out for the title of 2011 Schwarzkopf Professional British Colour Technician of the Year. If she secures this for a third time, it will see her take her place in the acclaimed Hall of Fame. Whilst HOB International Creative Director Akin Konizi, 2011 sees him nominated for the greatest award of the night, HJ's 2011 British Hairdresser of the Year title. Having been crowned with this award in 2008 and 2009, Akin Konizi will compete against hairdressings elite as he takes on the other 7 finalists to regain his title.

Speaking of the nominations, Akin comments, 'We are so proud to be going through to another final of the British Hairdressing Awards. We always look forward to seeing what others in the industry are doing and this year we have pushed ourselves again to deliver a collection that really reflects HOB and the team.
