HOB SALONS TAKE LONDON FASHION WEEK BY STORM

As London Fashion Week dominated the capital for five days in September, HOB Salons were immersed in the action across fashions most talked about spring/summer 12 shows.

Making a regular appearance at London Fashion Week season to season, HOB Salons stylist and Educator in the HOB Academy, Andrea Martinelli, found himself amongst fashions finest once again this year. Working with a number of esteemed designers such as Charlotte Olympia, Felder Felder and Temperley London, Andrea got to work his hair magic creating an array of show stopping looks.

CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA

This season’s collection dives into the allure of 1950’s Miami beach glamour, with a collection incorporating Art Deco pastels, deck chair stripes and pink flamingo feathers. Reflecting the perfect allure of the sexy yet playful Charlotte Olympia woman, Andrea created full bodied deep waves, with a glossy fringe and textured lengths keeping each girls look tailored to their individual style.

FELDER FELDER

The Felder Felder girl is an uptown girl who isn’t afraid to take risks, and this season’s collection combined flowing, elegant pieces with an injection of colour and rock and roll twist. Working with the Felder Felder vibe, Andrea Martinelli created a look that oozed rock and roll chic, with the hair pulled back on the sides, strong volume at the crown then working with effortless movement throughout the length. Speaking on the look, Andrea comments, 'The overall look was designed to be all about a girl who is having the time of her life, so a really spontaneous, effortless effect that embodied the rock ‘n’ feel creating a glossy, rich and shiny finish but rough around the edges at the same time.'

Opting for a shaved side to complement her short style with a sweeping fringe, Kerry beamed with her new do as she left the North London Salon on Friday.

TEMPERLEY LONDON

Renowned for her exquisite collections, Alice Temperley delivered again this season diving into the charm of 1950s high society! The spring/summer collection saw soft nudes and whites, sumptuous silks, embellishments and pops of damson, blue and lemon, which reflect a sensual yet powerful woman with timeless style and grace. Being the second season that Andrea Martinelli has worked alongside Temperley, he wanted to create a look that stood strong against her elegant collection, the hair was pulled up high into clean and glossy ponytails embodying sophistication with a nod to the glamorous 50s. Following the show, Alice Temperley commented, 'I really enjoyed working alongside the hair team, they encaptured my vision perfectly, the look was sleek, shiny and expensive. Full of elegance and movement, the ponytails complimented the sophistication and grace of the Temperley girl flawlessly.'

Also spotted at London Fashion Week this season, HOB West Hampstead stylist and Sebastian Cult Team member Stuart Garvey.

CHRISTOPHER SHANNON

On hand for Christopher Shannon’s spring/summer 12 collection, Stuart Garvey was an essential part of the hair team creating a sleek, high gloss finish with sharp edges to complement the playful, bold theme throughout his clothing designs. Speaking of his day, Stuart comments 'It was great to be a part of Christopher Shannon’s show at London Fashion Week this season! To work alongside such an expressive designer and ‘out there’ collection was a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it!' Now that London Fashion Week has come to a close, HOB Salons are now preparing to bring the hottest spring/summer 12 trends to the salon floor.
