HOB Academy Goes to Hollywood! Shape and Colour

On Wednesday 19th July the HOB Creative Team flew to LA to put on a show-stopping stage show for the Wella North America Trend Vision Final.
Headed up by Creative International Director, Akin Konizi, the rest of the team took off with 12 cases, plus a whole lot of passion, creativity and excitement to take London hairdressing to America.
The show itself saw competitors from states all around North America competing for the Gold and Platinum medals, and the subsequent chance to represent their country at the Global Trend Vision Awards which will co-incidentally be taking place on our own home turf of London this year!
 
Upon arrival the team were whisked into a glamorous White Party for all the show teams, competitors and Wella representatives to get to know one another. The following day was when the work started and the team began castings for a stunning 15 model line-up. Once the models were selected, the team created complete re-styles based on the concept of shape and colour, reflecting the work that takes place at our HOB Academy. Finally, to complete the looks, the models were dressed in a collection of dazzling outfits, which had been especially flown over from the UK.

 
The show day was Sunday 23rd July at LA Live, where an audience of 2,000 were awaiting inside an impressive roof-top marquee was set up overlooking downtown LA.
The HOB team were thrilled to be part of an incredible line up and honoured to open the NATVA show. It was also especially exciting to be followed by the renowned Robert Lobetta making his Sebastian comeback.





The Academy London show went down a storm and really established the HOB Academy Creative Team stateside - they cannot wait to return for future shows and events.
