HOB TAKES THE HAT-TRICK AT THE BRITISH HAIRDRESSING AWARDS 2024 #BHA24

WOWZA—what a night! Last night was nothing short of monumental for HOB Salons as we triumphed at the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards, taking home not one, not two, but THREE incredible accolades..
 
Artistic Team of the Year
London Hairdresser of the Year
Trend Image of the Year 

Held at the iconic JW Marriott Hotel Grosvenor House, Park Lane, the awards brought together the industry’s finest to celebrate creativity and excellence in hairdressing. To have our work recognised alongside the likes of so many hair salons and talent hairdressing individuals is truly an honour. What made the evening even more special? Our incredible team winning in every finalist category we entered, bringing home three well-deserved trophies.
 
“It was an incredibly successful night for HOB as they celebrated winning Artistic Team of the Year for the fourth time (2008, 2009, 2011 and 2024). Only two other groups have achieved this level of success in this category in 40 years” Jayne Lewis-Orr, Executive Director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards reflected.
 
Our Head of Education, Jake Unger, had an unforgettable evening, securing the titles of London Hairdresser of the Year with his stunning Rouge collection and Trend Image of the Year.
 
“It feels almost too good to be true,” said Jake. “This is my first win for Trend Image of the Year, and to finally take home the London Hairdresser of the Year trophy after three attempts—it’s overwhelming. It’s like waiting for a bus and suddenly three come at once!”
 
The HOB Creative Team were awarded Artistic Team of the Year for their striking Neo Noir collection, which beautifully showcased our world-renowned expertise in cutting, colouring, and styling.
 
Reflecting on the win, our International Creative Director Akin Konizi said: “Team, goes beyond the business aspect of what we do—it’s about growing together and supporting one another. Jake, you started as an apprentice 20 years ago, and tonight's wins are the recognition the team deserves. For me, it’s not just about leading a team; it’s about being led by them and leading them back”.
